While membership is highly encouraged, it is not always a strict requirement to serve in the Kids Ministry. However, here’s what you typically need to do:
**1. Complete the Application Process: Fill out a volunteer application form and provide any necessary personal information.
**2. Background Check: Undergo a thorough background check to ensure the safety of our children.
**3. Training: Participate in required training sessions to understand our policies, procedures, and expectations for working with children.
**4. Commitment: Show a commitment to our mission and values, and agree to follow our guidelines and procedures for working with kids.
If you are interested in serving but are not yet a member, please reach out to our church office to discuss how you can get involved and what steps you need to take.
Yes, we perform background checks for all individuals who work or volunteer with children, youth, and vulnerable populations. This process is part of our commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for everyone. The background checks help us verify the suitability and trustworthiness of those involved in our ministry programs.
If your child becomes upset or needs you during a service or program at Praise Redemption Worship Center, we have procedures in place to handle these situations:
**1. **Immediate Notification:** Our staff and volunteers are trained to contact you promptly if your child requires your attention. We use a discreet system to ensure that you are informed as soon as possible.
**2. **Comfort and Care:** In the event your child is upset, our team will provide comfort and support to help them feel more secure. We aim to address their needs sensitively and effectively.
**3. **Designated Contact:** Each child will be assigned a designated caregiver or leader who is responsible for their well-being during the program. This person will be aware of any specific needs or concerns you have shared.
**4. **Flexible Participation:** If your child needs to leave the program to be with you, we will facilitate this smoothly to ensure minimal disruption for your child and the group.
**5. **Feedback and Follow-Up:** After the incident, we will follow up with you to understand what happened and to discuss any steps needed to improve their experience in the future.
Your child's comfort and well-being are our top priorities, and we are here to support both you and your child throughout their time with us.
